All About Amber

 Amber trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, gaining an assisted place

 

She was nominated for the Spotlight Prize in 2002 at the end of her training and won 2nd place

 

Prior to training she studied Law at Trinity College, Cambridge University. While there she played Hedda Gabler, Cleopatra, Carol from Oleanna, Madame from The Maids and Martha from Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? It was the latter that inspired her to go into acting. She also took part in the Edinburgh Festival

 

After leaving RADA her first break was as feisty forensic pathologist Annie in Murder City opposite Amanda Donohoe and Kris Marshall. The series ran for 2 seasons with Amber a regular. After which she worked opposite Ed Stoppard and Ewen Macintosh in Age Sex Location at The Riverside Studios,gaining attention from the broadsheets for her Marilyn Monroe-esque portrayal of the perfect cyber woman! She has since gone on to work alongside Tom Hardy, Hayley Atwell, Ciaran Hinds, David Jason, Iain Glen, Nadim Sawalha, Rebecca Egan, Khalid Abdalla and starred in such cult classics as  Green Wing  and Law and Order. Her stage work has included prominent roles at The National Theatre, BAC,The Young Vic, Theatre 503, Soho Theatre, Hamsptead Theatre 

 

Amber is a strong supporter of Human Rights and has worked on several Amnesty supported projects, including The Container at The Young Vic and touring with Ice and Fire Theatre working on The Asylum Monologues and The Palestinian Monologues. 

 

In 2009 Whatsonstage described her as one of the  "exciting young actors" of the year!

 

She is a published poet for Arrival Press and Pyramid Press and a winner of The Times International Poetry Competition. Her latest copy of "In The Arms of Lyra; Selected Poems" is available to download here Download online here
